With all the doom and gloom of recession affecting just about every company, it’s interesting to read this report from the folks at Grant Thornton which landed in my inbox recently.

The results are fascinating, if unsurprising. In their latest skill development survey, Grant Thornton have found that English language skills have risen to the no.1 spot and, more importantly, continued the rising trend over the last three years.

Coming in as ‘the major priority’ among businesses, I wonder whether the trend will continue next year?
